Before You Write

Rootkeep is offline-first and has no accounts or servers. This means:

• I cannot access your data
• I cannot recover deleted data unless you have an iCloud backup (iOS)
• I never see your contacts, notes, or AI conversations

So when reporting a problem, the more details you provide, the faster and more accurate the help will be.

How to Report a Bug

When reporting an issue, please include:

1. Short description What happened? What did you expect to happen?

2. Steps to reproduce A simple list of how you got to the issue, e.g.:
   1. Open the app
   2. Add a contact
   3. Log an interaction
   4. The issue appears
3. Device information
   • Device model
   • OS version
   • Rootkeep version (shown at the bottom of Settings)

Tip: Settings → Diagnostics lets you share the on-device error log, which helps a lot.

AI Advisor Questions

The AI advisor runs on your own Anthropic (Claude) API key. If the advisor is not responding, first check your key and credit balance at console.anthropic.com. Your key is stored only on your device; I cannot see or manage it.
